Land Customs Station, Barhni is situated at Indo-Nepal Border. It is accommodated in its own building. Barhni is well connected to other parts of country through rail & roads. It has a Police Chowki, a unit of 50th BN SSB, Branches of State Bank of India & Punjab National Bank. It is counterpart LCS is Krishnanagar, Nepal. It is also one of the entry/exit point for facilitation of transit movement of goods from India to Nepal and vice-versa. The LCS is not notified for Clearence of Export consignments falling under various export promotion schemes except Duty Drawback. This LCS is Electronic Data Interface (EDI) enabled from 22.06.2017 to facilitate Customs clearances.
