The new office building of LCS Sonauli is located approximately 800m south to the ‘No Mans Land’ on NH24, connecting Sonauli and Gorakhpur, with its physical clearence point at a building (old office ) situated about 50m from the 'No Mans Land’ on the Indo-Nepal border in the busy suburb of Sonauli. The LCS, Sonauli is at present one of the busiest LCS in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on the Indo-Nepal border.The new office accommodation has been taken on rent in November, 2017 to meet out the requirement of proper examination of export/ import consignments and roll out of the EDI system. EDI system at LCS Sonauli has been enabled w.e.f. 22.06.2017 to facilitate Customs clearances.
